rue-madame's Diaryland Diary

Merci, Marie de Medicis

I was at the Jardin du Luxembourg today, reading Middlemarch, reclining in one of those loungy chairs under a leafy canopy, enjoying the shade and George Eliot. Parks in France are so soothing because there are no messy and smelly eucalyptus trees, no homeless encampments, dogs are on leashes, and best of all, there are no idiotic yahoos playing Ultimate, hacky sack or football.

Aaahhh, so much more civilized the French way.
