Bust out singing

I just got back from seeing �The Pyjama Game.�

You know, as much as I like some of the songs and parts of the choreography (the true blue Fosse bits are the best--the �Steam Heat� number is worth the price of admission!) �The Pyjama Game� is just not a good musical. The dialogue is ham-handed, people shout their lines, and the costuming is a little silly. At one point, Doris Day gets out of a car after a date and she�s not wearing any shoes. This struck me as really odd. There were other weird things in there that made no sense, like, ok: it�s a movie about a pyjama factory and one of the characters throws knives. Whaaaaat?

Uh oh, Jacques is here. Time for dinner and drinks. And not a moment too soon. J�ai super la dalle!
